Skill-Lync has built an alternative platform for engineering education. The last 2 decades have seen an increasing disconnect between industry and academia – this has resulted in colleges not teaching industry relevant technical skills and thereby students becoming unemployable. Skill-Lync is a Y-Combinator (2019) start-up that is solving this problem at scale leveraging technology and an ecosystem of industry-experts, engineer-trainers and offline-centers.

What is the role:

As a Video Editing intern you have to understand the script and instructor’s voice-over recordings and seamlessly edit videos using Camtasia. Create graphical elements and add effects and music as required. Create rough cuts for videos with a cinematic vision.

What you will do

• • Understand the script and instructor’s voice-over recordings and seamlessly edit videos using Camtasia
  • Highlight and emphasize key points and important sections of the video to ensure students do not miss out on critical information
  • Create graphical elements and add effects and music as required
  • Create rough cuts for videos with a cinematic vision

Key skills

• • Working knowledge of Camtasia or willingness to learn
  • Working knowledge of at least one editing software like Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
  • Creative mind and storytelling skill
