Job Responsibilities
- Understand the production team’s needs and specifications for a particular film
- Review shooting script and raw material and suggest ways to enhance the value of the film and to ensure continuity for scenes
- Organise/ code clips into sequence (mark interviews/b-roll footage etc.)
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Create rough and final cuts
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with the director from production to the post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
